All public hearings regarding the proposed 2006 Park Bond Referendum have concluded. Thank you for your interest and participation in the numerous public hearings that were held in 2006 regarding the bond election. This bond passed with a 76% majority vote. Thank you for your support of quality recreation in the Prince William Community.

The Board of County Supervisor’s approved a Bond Referendum for Park Improvements on July 25, 2006. In November, Prince William County residents will be voting on the first General Obligation Bond to improve county parks since 1998. If approved by the voters, the Bond would provide $27M for open space acquisition, indoor community center improvements, sports field improvements, trail improvements and expansion of the County’s skate park facility.

The Bond would allow Prince William County to improve or expand existing park facilities, improve efficiency and usability of sports fields, and add open space to preserve additional parkland.
