Park Improvements

Prince William County is a rapidly changing community. The Park Authority is an integral component of our community providing numerous recreation opportunities that help to improve the quality of life in Prince William. county mapMany of us have seen a formerly open area blessed with multiple farms become a highly developed 21st Century community. We understand that once land is developed, it is lost forever to open space. We are committed to ensure that adequate space is reserved for park facilities and programs that not only meet the current needs of you, our valued citizens but also will be available for future generations.

To that end, as partners in the stewardship of the land, the Park Authority seeks continuous input from all citizens regarding the programs and facilities we provide. These development pages describe new projects that may be in a development phase, or future planned projects that increase recreation opportunities for all citizens.

The Park Authority encourages citizen input on a variety of convenient levels, including comment at monthly Park Authority Board meetings, District meetings, input through surveys, comment cards, focus groups, etc. Your voice counts. On these pages, you will also learn about additional opportunities to participate in our growth, through community meetings, notices of park development planning meetings, individual park Master Plan/Community meetings and Park Authority Board meetings where development issues are discussed as each new individual Master Plan unfolds.
