Leave no trace. Keeping our parks and trails clean is the responsibility of everybody that uses them. Please use the trash receptacles provided at each park site.
Trails are open dawn to dusk.
Motorized vehicles are prohibited on all Park Authority trails.
Creating new trails or disturbing plant or animal life is strictly prohibited. Please remain on the trail when in posted sensitive areas.
All dogs must remain on a leash no longer than eight feet at all times.
Dog waste must be disposed of in a trash receptacle. Not only is dog waste an unpleasant surprise while on the trail, it is one of the leading contributers of harmful bacteria in our local streams and the Potomac River.
Horses are only permitted on designated equestrian trails.
Bicyclists should always yield to pedestrians. All users should yield to horse-back riders when on equestrian trails.
Riding bikes or horses on muddy trails will quickly cause erosion and make the trail unpassable.
Respect property boundaries and the rights of private property owners.
