Silver Lake Master Plan Meeting Suggestions from meeting held on October 27th, 2009 at Mountain View Elementary School
- Use the quarry for scuba dive training for Emergency Personnel
- Allow local scuba clubs to use the quarry
- Provide 60 acres for a sports club – archery, skeet shooting, fishing, gun safety, camping
- Open entire lake for fishing from the banks
- No boats on the lake
- Provide space for a disc golf program
- Leave it undeveloped for peace and quiet
- Overnight camping, but no RV’s
- Horse trails, horse swimming in dam runoff pond
- Keep fishing open throughout the year
- Add a dog park, 2-5 acres
- Playground for children
- Multi-use trails
- Separate the school entrance and create a visual block so you cannot see the school from the Park
- No lights, even at the school
